Food Delivery available for all OUSD families

Families can enroll directly by filling out one of these google forms.

To sign up, you will need the OUSD ID number of at least one child in the household.  

 

What is included?

Once enrolled, families will receive:

  •  A week’s worth of OUSD meals for each child in the house

    • 7 breakfasts

    • 7 lunches

    • 5 suppers 

  • Starting in November, with the generous support of the philanthropic community, twice a month families will also receive a fresh box of vegetables. 

Who is eligible to sign up for home delivery?

An OUSD student and any of their siblings (18 years old and younger) who live in the same household are eligible for meal delivery (even if the sibling attends a charter school or is too young for school). We can also provide meals to special needs adults between 18 and 22 if enrolled in OUSD. One student in the household must be an OUSD student for the household to be eligible for home delivery . Other Oakland families with non-OUSD students can still come to a meal distribution site to pick up meals.

Delivery times:

A few days after signing up, the parent  will receive a text message stating the day and time for their meal delivery. Deliveries will take place Mondays through Fridays typically between 8 am and 3 pm. Generally, North and West Oakland will have deliveries on Mondays or Tuesdays. East Oakland residences will typically have deliveries on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. At this time, we cannot take requests for delivery days and times.

Safety Procedures:

Drivers will be making “no contact” deliveries, wearing masks, and maintaining social distances. Drivers will leave food on a front porch or outside an apartment door at the assigned time. Drivers will ring doorbells, call, and text when food has arrived and leave food on the doorstep.  Drivers will NOT be able to enter locked gates or yards with dogs.
